ABSTRACT
EVIE ADRIANI (G411 08 004) Identification
of Black bug on Rice (Oryza sativa Linn.)
and Weeds in Bulukumba. (Guidance by FATAHUDDIN and TAMRIN ABDULLAH).
The study aimed
to identify the black beetle pests in rice (Oryza
sativa Linn.) and weeds. Its usefulness as a base of information studies
aspects of the black bug morphology and hierarchy taxonomy of rice black bug
and weeds.
The research was
conducted at the Laboratory of pest, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases,
Faculty of Agriculture, Hasannuddin University and IP3OPT Regency Bulukumba, were
collected from February 2012 until April 2012.
In this study
was done by inserting a black beetles cought from rice and
weeds in obtained from a bottle into a killer jar that
contained tissue paper in
the
formalin. Observed differences in morphology of black beetles obtained from
rice plants with black ladybug obtained from the weeds to make observations in
the microscope Olympus S261 (spacimen is placed under the
microscope and observed the characteristic morphology) subsequently to
identifing the morphology of each in plant rice black bugs and weeds by used
insects determination key is Taxonomy of
rice insect pest and their arthropod parasites and predator in biology and
management of rice insects.
The study result
showed that there were several species of black beetles that live on weeds which
have a different morphology with black bug that live on rice plants. Spesies
name of black bug that obtained in rice plants is Paraeucosmetus pallicornis Dallas while in weeds obtained is Pachybrachius pacificus Stal.
Two of Black bug obtained from weeds Eleusine
indica and
Ipomoea triloba can
only be identified until its family that is classified Lygaeidae family.
